Developer of Advanced Defense Technology

Do you want to be part of developing advanced technology that protects our combat pilots and strengthens Sweden's defense capability?

As an experienced developer, you will work with high-tech radar sensors and systems that make a real difference for both society and individuals.

About the Role

As a C++ developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of electronic warfare systems for combat aircraft - systems that identify and analyze threats in real-time and provide pilots with critical decision support. You will be part of a team of dedicated engineers working on hardware-near programming and embedded systems. We value open communication, knowledge sharing, and a balance between work and personal life. The role involves significant technical challenges and opportunities for personal development. With your background and experience, you will soon become a key person in the team and a mentor for junior colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and test C++ code for performance-critical embedded systems.
  • Optimize and improve code with a focus on robustness, efficiency, and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze advanced technical problems and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements in code quality and working methods.
  • Collaborate closely with other developers in an agile team and be involved in the creation of innovative and technically advanced solutions.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who wants to combine technical depth with societal benefit. You are analytical, curious, and enjoy solving complex problems in close collaboration with others. For this role, we also expect you to have extensive experience in similar tasks within software development.

You have:

  • At least ten years of experience in C++ development
  • A degree in computer engineering, technical physics, electronics, or equivalent
  • Experience with hardware-near programming and embedded systems
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Knowledge in signal processing or radar systems

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
